En dag fick mamma mycket frukt.

One day, mama got a lot of fruit.

”När kan vi få lite frukt?” frågar vi. ”Vi ska äta frukten ikväll”, säger mamma.

“When can we have some fruit?” we ask. “We will have the fruit tonight,” says mama.

Min bror Rahim är girig. Han smakar på alla frukter. Han äter mycket av den.

My brother Rahim is greedy. He tastes all the fruit. He eats a lot of it.

”Titta vad Rahim har gjort!” ropar min lillebror. ”Rahim är olydig och självisk”, säger jag.

“Look at what Rahim did!” shouts my little brother. “Rahim is naughty and selfish,” I say.

Mamma är arg på Rahim.

Mother is angry with Rahim.

Vi är också arga på Rahim. Men Rahim ångrar sig inte.

We are also angry with Rahim. But Rahim is not sorry.

”Ska du inte straffa Rahim?” frågar lillebror.

“Aren’t you going to punish Rahim?” asks little brother.

”Rahim, du kommer snart ångra dig”, varnar mamma.

“Rahim, soon you will be sorry,” warns mama.

Rahim börjar må illa.

Rahim starts to feel sick.

”Jag har så ont i magen”, viskar Rahim.

“My tummy is so sore,” whispers Rahim.

Mamma visste att detta skulle hända. Frukten straffar Rahim!

Mama knew this would happen. The fruit is punishing Rahim!

Senare ber Rahim oss om ursäkt. ”Jag ska aldrig vara så girig igen”, lovar han. Vi tror alla på honom.

Later, Rahim says sorry to us. “I will never be so greedy again,” he promises. And we all believe him.
