My little brother sleeps
very late.
I wake early, because I
am great!
Mi hermano pequeño se despierta muy tarde. Yo despierto temprano, ¡porque soy genial!
Det är jag som släpper in solen.
I am the one who lets in
the sun.
Yo soy la que deja que la luz del sol entre a nuestra casa.
”Du är min morgonstjärna”, säger mamma.
“You’re my morning
star,” says Ma.
“Eres mi estrella mañanera,” dice mamá.
Jag tvättar mig själv, jag behöver ingen hjälp.
I wash myself, I don’t
need any help.
Me aseo sola y no necesito ayuda.
Jag klarar mig med kallt vatten och blå, illaluktande tvål.
I can cope with cold
water and blue smelly
soap.
Puedo soportar el agua fría y el jabón azul apestoso.
Mamma påminner: ”Glöm inte tänderna!” Jag svarar: ”Aldrig, inte jag!”
Ma reminds, “Don’t
forget teeth.”
I reply, “Never, not
me!”
Mamá me dice, “No te olvides de los dientes.” Yo le respondo, “¡Nunca los olvido!”
Efter tvätten hälsar jag på morfar och moster och önskar dem en god dag.
After washing, I greet
Grandpa and Auntie,
and wish them a good
day.
Después de mi aseo, saludo a mi abuelo y a mi tía, y les deseo que tengan un buen día.
Sedan klär jag mig själv. ”Jag är stor nu, mamma”, säger jag.
Then I dress myself,
“I’m big now Ma,” I say.
Luego, me visto, “Ahora soy grande, mamá,” le digo.
Jag kan knäppa knapparna och stänga spännet på mina skor.
I can close my buttons
and buckle my shoes.
Puedo abotonarme y abrochar mis zapatos.
Och jag ser till att lillebror får veta allt nytt som händer i skolan.
And I make sure little
brother knows all the
school news.

I skolan gör jag mitt bästa på alla sätt och vis.
In class I do my best in
every way.
En clases, doy lo mejor de mí en todos los sentidos.

I do all these good
things every day.
But the thing I like
most, is to play and
play!
