يَنامُ أَخِي الصَّغِيرُ مُتَأَخِّرًا جِدًّا.
أَنَا اَسْتيْقِظُ بَاكِراً لِأَنَّنِي مُمَيَّزَةٌ.
Mo ti frer dormi bien tar. Mo lev boner parski mo enn top.
Mon petit frère dort très tard. Je me réveille tôt, parce que je suis formidable !
My little brother sleeps very late. I wake early, because I am great!
أَنَا وَاحِدَةٌ مِنَ اَلَّذينَ يَسْمَحُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ أَن تَدْخُلَ.
Momem ki les soley rantre.
Je suis celle qui laisse entrer le soleil.
I am the one who lets in the sun.
مَامَا تقُولُ لِي: “أَنْتِ نَجْمَتِي اَلصَّباحيّةُ”.
« To mo zetwal gramatin, » mo mama dir mwa.
« Tu es mon étoile du matin, » me dit maman.
“You’re my morning star,” says Ma.
أَنَا اَسْتَحِمُّ وَحْدِي، أَنَا لَا أَحْتَاجُ لِمُسَاعَدَةِ أَحَدٍ.
Mo bengne mo tousel, mo pa bizin okenn led.
Je me lave, je n’ai pas besoin d’aide.
I wash myself, I don’t need any help.
أَنَا يُمْكِنُنِي أَنْ أَتَعَامَلَ مَعَ المَاءِ البَارِدِ وَالرَّائِحَةُ اَلكَرِيهَةُ لِلصَّابُونَةِ الزَّرْقَاءِ.
Mo kapav debrouye avek dilo fre ek savon ble ki santi pi.
Je peux m’adapter à de l’eau froide et du savon bleu malodorant.
I can cope with cold water and blue smelly soap.
مَامَا تُذَكِّرُنِي: “لَا تَنْسَيْ أَسْنَانَكِ”، فَأُجِيبُهَا: “أَنَا مُسْتَحِيلْ!”
Mama fer mwa rapel, « Pa bliye ledan! » Mo reponn, « Zame! Pa mwa ! »
Maman me rappelle, « N’oublie pas tes dents. » Je réponds, « Jamais, pas moi ! »
Ma reminds, “Don’t forget teeth.” I reply, “Never, not me!”
بَعْدَ اَلاِسْتِحْمَامِ، أُسَلِّمُ عَلَى جَدِّي وَعَمَّتِي، وَأُوَدِّعُهُمْ.
Kouma fini bengne, mo dir granper ek matant bonzour ek mo swet zot enn bonn zourne.
Après m’être lavée, j’accueille grand-papa et tantine et je leur souhaite une bonne journée.
After washing, I greet Grandpa and Auntie, and wish them a good day.
ثُمَّ أَلْبِسُ ثِيَابِي بِنَفْسِي، وَأَقُولُ: “أَنَا الآنَ كَبِيرَةٌ”.
Lerla, mo met mo linz, « Mo gran aster ma », mo dir.
Ensuite, je m’habille, « Je suis grande maintenant maman, » dis-je.
Then I dress myself, “I’m big now Ma,” I say.
أَنَا اَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أُغْلِقَ أَزْرَارِي وَأَرْبِطَ حِذَائِي.
Mo kapav ferm mo bann bouton ek atas mo lase.
Je peux attacher mes boutons et boucler mes chaussures.
I can close my buttons and buckle my shoes.
أَنَا أَتَأَكَّدُ مِنْ أَنَّ أَخِي اَلصَّغِيرُ يَعْرفُ كُلَّ أَخْبَارِ اَلمَدْرَسَةِ.
Ek mo asir mwa ki mo ti frer konn tou nouvel lekol.
Et je m’assure que mon petit frère connaît toutes les nouvelles de l’école.
And I make sure little brother knows all the school news.
أَبْذُلُ جُهْدِي فِي الصَّفِّ لِأَقُومَ بِالأفْضَلِ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ.
Dan klas mo fer mo mie dan tou fason.
En classe je fais de mon mieux de toutes les façons possibles.
In class I do my best in every way.
أَنَا أَقُومُ بِكُلِّ هَذِهِ اَلأفْعَالِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ.
لَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ الأَشْيَاءِ التِي أُحِبُّهَا اللَّعِبُ.
ثُمَّ اللَّعِبُ.
Mo fer tou sa bann bon kiksoz-la toulezour. Me kiksoz ki mo pli kontan, se zwe, zwe, zwe!
Je fais toutes ces bonnes choses chaque jour. Mais la chose que j’aime le mieux, c’est de jouer et jouer encore!
I do all these good things every day. But the thing I like most, is to play and play!
