ئاندیسوا بینی كە كوڕەكان خەریكی یاریی تۆپی پێن. ئەویش پێی خۆش بوو لەگەڵیان بێت! ئەو لە راهێنەرەكەی پرسی كە ئایا دەتوانی لەگەڵ ئەوان راهێنان بكات.
Andiswa watched the boys play soccer. She wished that she could join them. She asked the coach if she can practise with them.
راهێنەرەكە دەستی لە کەلەکەی نا و گوتی: “لەم قوتابخانەیە تەنیا كوڕەکان بۆیان هەیە یاری تۆپی پێ بكەن.”
The coach put his hands on his hips. “At this school, only boys are allowed to play soccer,” he said.
كوڕەكان گوتیان ئەو دەبێ بچێ یاریی تۆپی سه‌به‌ته بکات. ئەوان گوتیان یاریی تۆپی سه‌به‌ته بۆ كچانە و تۆپی پێ بۆ كوڕانە. ئاندیسوا توڕه بوو.
The boys told her to go play netball. They said that netball is for girls and soccer is for boys. Andiswa was upset.
رۆژی داهاتوو لە قوتابخانەكە کێبه‌رکێیه‌کی زۆر گەورەی تۆپی پێ بوو. راهێنەرەكە نیگەران بوو، چونكە باشترین یاریزانیان نەخۆش کەوتبوو و نەیدەتوانی یاری بكات.
The next day, the school had a big soccer match. The coach was worried because his best player was sick and could not play.
ئاندیسوا بەرەو لای راهێنەرەكە رای كردوو و لەبەری پاڕایەوە كە رێگەی بدات یاری بكات. ئەو دەبوایە چی وەڵام دابایەوە؟ ئەو بریاریدا كە ئاندیسوا دەتوانێ لەگەڵ تیمەكەدا بێت.
Andiswa ran to the coach and begged him to let her to play. The coach was not sure what to do. Then he decided that Andiswa could join the team.
یارییەكی سەخت بوو. لە تایمی یه‌که‌مدا كەس گۆڵی تۆمار نەكرد.
The game was tough. Nobody had scored a goal by half time.
لە تایمی دووهه‌مدا یەكێك لە كوڕەكان پاسێكی بە ئاندیسوا دا. ئەو تۆپەكەی بەرەو گۆڵەكە برد، شوتێكی توندی لە تۆپەكە دا و گۆڵێكی تۆمار كرد.
During the second half of the match one of the boys passed the ball to Andiswa. She moved very fast towards the goal post. She kicked the ball hard and scored a goal.
ئاماده‌بووان زۆر خۆشحاڵ بوون. لەو رۆژەوە كچەکانیش رێگەیان پێدرا كە لە قوتابخانەكە یاریی تۆپی پێ بكەن.
The crowd went wild with joy. Since that day, girls were also allowed to play soccer at the school.
