I peel the potatoes.

ʔanaː ʔaqʃur @البطاطا


أَنَا أَقَطَعُ المَلْفُوفَ.

I chop a cabbage.

ʔanaː ʔaqtˤaʕa aːlmalfuːf


أَنَا أَبْشُرُ الجَزَرَ.

I grate the carrots.

ʔanaː ʔabʃara aːldʒazr


أَنَا أَغْسِلُ الفَاصُولِيَا.

I wash the beans.

ʔanaː ʔaɣsil @الفاصوليا


أَنَا أقْطَعُ الجَوْزَ.

I cut the butternut.

ʔanaː ʔaqtˤaʕa aːldʒaʊz


أَنَا أَفْرُمُ السَّبَانِخَ.

I chop the spinach.

ʔanaː ʔafrim aːlsabaːnax


أُمِّي تَفْرُمُ البَصَلَ.

My mom chops the onions.

ʔummijj tafrim aːlbasˤal


البَصَلُ يَجْعَلُنِي أَبْكِي عِنْدَمَا يَبْشُرُونَهُ.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.

aːlbasˤal @يجعلني ʔabkiː ʕindamaː @يبشرونه
