En dag fikk mamma mye frukt.

One day, mama got a lot of fruit.

«Når kan vi få litt frukt?» spør vi. «Vi skal spise frukten i kveld», sier mamma.

“When can we have some fruit?” we ask. “We will have the fruit tonight,” says mama.

Broren min Rahim er grådig. Han smaker på all frukten. Han spiser mye av den.

My brother Rahim is greedy. He tastes all the fruit. He eats a lot of it.

«Se hva Rahim gjorde», roper lillebroren min. «Rahim er slem og egoistisk», sier jeg.

“Look at what Rahim did!” shouts my little brother. “Rahim is naughty and selfish,” I say.

Mamma er sint på Rahim.

Mother is angry with Rahim.

Vi er også sinte på Rahim. Men Rahim er ikke lei seg.

We are also angry with Rahim. But Rahim is not sorry.

«Skal du ikke straffe Rahim?» spør lillebror.

“Aren’t you going to punish Rahim?” asks little brother.

«Rahim, du kommer til å angre snart», advarer mamma.

“Rahim, soon you will be sorry,” warns mama.

Rahim begynner å føle seg uvel.

Rahim starts to feel sick.

«Jeg har så vondt i magen», hvisker Rahim.

“My tummy is so sore,” whispers Rahim.

Mamma visste at dette ville skje. Frukten straffer Rahim!

Mama knew this would happen. The fruit is punishing Rahim!

Senere sier Rahim unnskyld til oss. «Jeg skal aldri være så grådig igjen», lover han. Vi tror ham alle sammen.

Later, Rahim says sorry to us. “I will never be so greedy again,” he promises. And we all believe him.
