Look, fire!

ပၟတ် တူဒၟံင်။

Fire burns.

ပၟတ် ဍုန် (ပုင်)။

Fire cooks.

ပၟတ် ကဵု ဂမ္တဴ။

Fire gives warmth.

ပၟတ် ကဵု လျး။

Fire gives light.

ရံင်၊ ပၟတ်!

Look, fire!

ပၟတ်ဂှ် ဒှ် အရာတၟေင်မွဲရ။

Fire is wonderful.

တုဲပၠန် ဒြဟတ်လေဝ် ထတ်ကွေဟ်ရ။

And it is powerful.
