I peel the potatoes.

I chop a cabbage.

I grate the carrots.

Ninasaga karoti.

Nnaza ebidandali.

I wash the beans.

Ninaosha maharagwe.

Ntematema ekinaazi.

I cut the butternut.

Ninakata maboga.

Nsalasala sukuma.

I chop the spinach.

Ninakatakata sukuma-wiki.

Mama wange asalasala ebitungulu.

My mom chops the onions.
