أَنَا أَسْتَيْقُظُ وَأُشْعِلُ النَارَ.

Ninaamka na kuwasha moto.

I wake up and make fire.


أَنَا أَغْلِي القَلِيلَ مِنَ المَاءِ.

Ninachemsha maji.

I boil some water.


أَنَا أُقَطِّعُ حَطَبَ الأَشْجَارِ.

Ninakata kuni.

I chop the firewood.


أَنَا أُحَرِّكُ الوِعَاءَ.

Ninakoroga uji kwenye chungu.

I stir the pot.


أَنَا أُنَظِّفُ الأرْضَ.

Ninafagia sakafu.

I sweep the floor.


أَنَا أَغْسِلُ الصُّحُونَ.

Ninaosha vyombo.

I wash the dishes.


لِمَاذَا أَعْمَلُ أَنَا بِجِدٍّ… …بَيْنَما أَخِي مَشْغُولٌ بِاللَّعبِ؟

Kwa nini ninafanya kazi kwa bidii… …wakati mdogo wangu anacheza?

Why do I work so hard… … when my brother is busy playing?
