Mia frateto dormas ĝis malfrue. Mi vekiĝas frue, ĉar mi estas bonega!
My little brother sleeps very late. I wake early, because I am great!
Estas mi, kiu enlasas la sunon.
I am the one who lets in the sun.
“Vi estas mia matenstelo,” diras panjo.
“You’re my morning star,” says Ma.
Mi lavas min. Mi ne bezonas iun ajn helpon.
I wash myself, I don’t need any help.
Mi povas trakti la malvarmegan akvon kaj la bluan malbonodoran sapon.
I can cope with cold water and blue smelly soap.
Panjo memorigas min, “Ne forgesu la dentojn!” Mi respondas, “Neniam, mi ne forgesos!”
Ma reminds, “Don’t forget teeth.” I reply, “Never, not me!”
Post la lavado mi salutas avĉjon kaj onjon kaj deziras al ili agrablan tagon.
After washing, I greet Grandpa and Auntie, and wish them a good day.
Tiam mi vestas min. “Mi estas granda nun, panjo,” mi diras.
Then I dress myself, “I’m big now Ma,” I say.
Mi fermas la butonojn kaj bukas la ŝuojn.
I can close my buttons and buckle my shoes.
Kaj mi certiĝas, ke mia frateto scias ĉion pri la lerneja novaĵo.
And I make sure little brother knows all the school news.
En la klaso mi faras ĉiumaniere laŭeble plej bone.
In class I do my best in every way.
Mi ĉiutage faras ĉiujn ĉi bonojn. Sed tio, kion mi plej ŝatas, estas ludi kaj ludi!
I do all these good things every day. But the thing I like most, is to play and play!
