Mbuzhi,Kabwa ne Ng’ombe bajinga pabulunda. Juba jimo baile palwendo mumotoka.

Goat, Dog, and Cow were great friends. One day they went on a journey in a taxi.

Imbushi, Imbwa ne ŋombe baali fibusa saana. Ubushiku bumo baile pa bulendo muli motoka.


Pobafikile kobailenga, ng’endeshi wa motoka wibanjile amba bapane mali alwendo lwabo. Ng’ombe wapaine mali anji.

When they reached the end of their journey, the driver asked them to pay their fares. Cow paid her fare.

Ilyo baafikile uko baaleya, namutekenya aabebele ukulipila indalama. Iŋombe yalilipiile.


Kabwa wapaine mali anji alwendo kabiji wabikilepo ne akwabo peulu, mambo kechi wajinga namali acheche ne.

Dog paid a bit extra, because he did not have the correct money.

Imbwa yaalipile indalama iikalamba pantu tayakwete indalama iinoono.


Mwendeshi saka akyange kupa kabwa mali abweleleko Mbuzhi wa nyemene kwaku bula kupana mali anji.

The driver was about to give Dog his change when Goat ran away without paying anything.

Namutekenya cilya aalimukupeela Imbwa cenji, Imbushi yabutuka ukwabula ukulipila nangu lumo.


Mwendeshi wazhingijile bingi. Wa endeshele motoka nekuya kwakubula kupa Kabwa mali anji.

The driver was very annoyed. He drove away without giving Dog his change.

Namutekenya tepakufulwa. Efyo aenseshe motoka ukwabula ukubwesesha Imbwa cenji.


Byomumwena kabwa jonse unyemena kumotoka nakukeba mwendeshi waile namali anji.

That is why, even today, Dog runs towards a car to peep inside and find the driver who owes him his change.

Eco, mpaka na leelo, Imbwa ipepekela motoka pakuti imone mukati nga cakuti namutekenya uwaikwatila indalama emwali.


Mbuzhi unyema inge waunvwa kyongo kyamotoka. Uchina amba bakonsha kumukwata pakubula kupana mali.

Goat runs away from the sound of a car. She is afraid she will be arrested for not paying her fare.

Imbushi ilabutuka iciunda ca motoka. Ilatiina ukuikata pa mulandu wa kukaana lipila indalama.


Pano Ng’ombe aye kechi wakamwane inge motoka ibena kwiya. Ng’ombe wenda ne kipale paku kiluka mukwakwa mambo wayuka amba aye mali anji walipijile onse.

And Cow is not bothered when a car is coming. Cow takes her time crossing the road because she knows she paid her fare in full.

Elyo Iŋombe yena taisakamana nangu motoka ileisa. Yendafye cilumba-cilumba pa kuciluka umusebo nangu motoka ileisa pantu yalishiba ukuti yalilipila indalama shonse.
