I peel the potatoes.


Ngiqoba iklabishi.

I chop a cabbage.


Ngigretha iziqathi.

I grate the carrots.


Ngigeza ubhontshisi.

I wash the beans.


Ngiqoba ithanga.

I cut the butternut.


Ngiqoba imifino.

I chop the spinach.


Umama wami uqoba uanyanisi.

My mom chops the onions.


Uanyanisi ungenza ngikhale uma uqotshwa.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.
