I peel the potatoes.

Ninamenya viazi.


Ani gomaanan mura.

I chop a cabbage.

Ninakatakata kabichi.


Ani Karootrin boca.

I grate the carrots.

Ninasaga karoti.


Ani Bekalaan dhiqa.

I wash the beans.

Ninaosha maharagwe.


ani fuduraan cira.

I cut the butternut.

Ninakata maboga.


Ani espanachin cira.

I chop the spinach.

Ninakatakata sukuma-wiki.


Harmeen koo qullubbbi cirit.

My mom chops the onions.

Mama yangu anakatakata vitunguu.


Yeroon qullubbii ciruu ijii nihimimaan buusa.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.

Vitunguu hunifanya nilie vikiwa vinakatwakatwa.
