Ngoo yakwa ĩĩw’a syĩndũ mbiingĩ mũno.

My heart feels a lot of things.

Moyo wangu unahisi vitu vingi.

Nĩw’aa muyo ĩla sũsũ ũkũtweea ngewa mawĩoo.

I feel happy when my granny tells us stories in the evening.

Najisikia furaha bibi yangu akitusimulia hadithi jioni.

Nĩw’aa makothe ĩla ngũthaũka na mũnyanyawa.

I feel silly when I play with my friend.

Najisikia kufanya mzaha ninapocheza na rafiki zangu.

Nĩw’aa naĩ ĩla tata wasya ndena mbesa.

I feel bad when my dad says he does not have money.

Najisikia vibaya baba yangu anaposema hana pesa.

Nĩw’aa nĩmwende ĩla mwaitũ angumbatĩla.

I feel loved when my mom gives me a hug.

Najihisi kupendwa na mama yangu anaponikumbatia.
