یو وخت ، په یو ځای کې یوې خوشحاله کورنۍ ژوند کاوه.
Once upon a time,
there lived a happy
family.
هغوی هیڅ کله له یو بل سره جګره نه کوله. هغوی به له خپل والدینو سره په کور او بهر کې مرسته کوله.
They never fought with
each other. They helped
their parents at home
and in the fields.
مګر هغوی ته د دې اجازه نه وه چې اور ته نېږدې لاړ شي.
But they were not
allowed to go near a
fire.
هغوی مجبور ول چې خپل ټول کارونه د شپې ترسره کړي. ځکه چې هغوی له موم څخه جوړ شوې وه.
They had to do all their
work during the night.
Because they were made of wax!
مګر د یوه هلک خوښېدل چې لمر ته ولاړ شي.
But one of the boys
longed to go out in the
sunlight.
یوه ورځ د هغه خوښېدنه ډیره قوي وه. د هغه ورونو هغه ته اخطار ورکړ…
One day the longing
was too strong. His
brothers warned him…
مګر ډیره ناوخته شوې وه. هغه تیز لمر کې ویلې شوي وو.
But it was too late!
He melted in the hot
sun.
د موم ماشومانو چې خپل ورور د ویلې کېدو په حال ولید نو ډېر خفه شول.
The wax children were
so sad to see their
brother melting away.
مګر هغوی یو پلان جوړ کړ. هغوی د ویلې شوي موم برخې راټولې کړې او هغه ته یې د یو مرغه شکل ورکړ.
But they made a plan.
They shaped the lump
of melted wax into a
bird.
هغوی د خپل ورور موم جوړ شوي مرغه په یو لوړ غره په سر کېښود.
They took their bird
brother up to a high
mountain.
څرنګه چې لمر پورته شه، هغه مرغه د سهار رڼا کې په سندرو ویلو والوت.
And as the sun rose, he
flew away singing into
the morning light.
