Tanghali nang magising ang nakababata kong kapatid. Maaga akong gumigising, dahil magaling ako!

My little brother sleeps very late. I wake early, because I am great!

Ako ang nagpapapasok ng araw sa amin.

I am the one who lets in the sun.

“Ikaw ang aking tala sa umaga,” sabi ni Ma.

“You’re my morning star,” says Ma.

Ako nang nagpapaligo sa sarili ko. Hindi ko na kailangan ng tulong.

I wash myself, I don’t need any help.

I can cope with cold water and blue smelly soap.

Paalala ni Ma, “‘Wag kalimutan ang ngipin!” Sagot ko, “Hindi, hinding-hindi!”

Ma reminds, “Don’t forget teeth.” I reply, “Never, not me!”

After washing, I greet Grandpa and Auntie, and wish them a good day.

Pagkatapos, binibihisan ko ang sarili ko. “Malaki na ako, Ma,” sabi ko.

Then I dress myself, “I’m big now Ma,” I say.

Kaya ko nang magbutones at magsapatos mag-isa.

I can close my buttons and buckle my shoes.

And I make sure little brother knows all the school news.

Lagi kong pinagbubutihan sa klase.

In class I do my best in every way.

I do all these good things every day. But the thing I like most, is to play and play!
